Is this the official Red Seal exam or an official prep tool?

No. RedSkillTrade is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Red Seal Program, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), the Canadian Council of Directors of Apprenticeship (CCDA), the Government of Canada, or any provincial or territorial apprenticeship authority (for example SkilledTradesBC or Skilled Trades Ontario). Practice questions are original study material, not actual exam questions.

Which trades do you cover?

We cover 10 Red Seal trades: Automotive Service Technician, Carpenter, Construction Electrician, Cook, Hairstylist, Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), Machinist, Plumber, Welder. Right now 3 have practice questions (Construction Electrician, Cook, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)); the rest are coming soon. Barbers and hairdressers study under Hairstylist, and chefs under Cook, which are the official Red Seal trade names.

How does the free trial work?

Start Week, Two Weeks or Monthly and your first 24 hours are free with full access. Cancel within 24 hours and you won't be charged. If you keep going, your plan starts when the free 24 hours end. After that, you can also buy a single Day Pass.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Week, Two Weeks and Monthly plans can be cancelled anytime and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. The Day Pass is a one-time 24-hour unlock that doesn't renew.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It's built phone-first: big tap targets, one question at a time, and fast loading on a jobsite connection. It works in any modern phone browser with no app to install.

Is the job-site reference free?

Yes. The reference (formulas, charts, calculators and tool guides for millwrights, machinists, electricians, cooks and other trades) is free with an account. Anyone can see each page's topics; sign up with your email to unlock everything. Reference only. Always verify against the manufacturer's specs, your jurisdiction's code and your site's procedures.

Is there a free version?
